Women Died, Passenger Injured After Crash

A woman was killed and her passenger was injured after crashing her car, an April 29 article of Seqouyah County Times reported.
The incident happened on the afternoon of April 24, in US-40. 71-year-old Shirley Courtney crashed her 2017 Ford Escape into a tree for an unknown reason. Courtney was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, 91-year-old Ingrid Hewett, was taken to Mercy Hospital with head and internal trunk injuries.
