Workers killed in Oklahoma oil rig blast

Two workers were killed and three others suffered injuries after a blast took place at an oil rig in Coal County, HNGN reported on December 19.
The fatalities were identified as Kelsey Bellah, 27 and Gary Keenen, 26, who were both working in the oilfield, owned by Texas-based company Pablo Energy. Details of the explosion reportedly were still insufficient due to the remoteness of the oil rig, according to fire Chief Sam Schafnitt. Three other workers were taken to the hospital, where two of them reportedly were listed in critical condition. One of the injured persons received burns to his hands.
Authorities including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating the oil rig blast. Initial reports seem to suggest that no significant environmental damage occurred from the fire.
