Wrong-way accident on Kenwood Rd near Salina kills 1

MAYES CO., OK – An Adair man died Thursday from injuries sustained in a wrong-way collision two days prior in east-central Mayes County, reports Fox 23 News.
The accident happened shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday on Kenwood Road, which is just east of Salina and about 56 miles northeast of Tulsa.
Police say that a pickup truck struck another vehicle head-on while attempting to complete an illegal pass.
The driver of the second vehicle, identified as 32-year-old Chad Flickinger, was treated at a Tulsa hospital until he succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck did not require hospitalization. It’s unclear if that driver will face charges in connection to the wreck.
