Wrong-way collision on US-59 near S 564 Rd kills 2, injures 1

OTTAWA CO., OK – Two people died Thursday evening in a multi-vehicle crash along the highway in southwest Ottawa County, reports KTUL News 8.
The accident occurred on US-59 near South 564 Road between Copeland and Afton. This is about 90 miles northeast of Tulsa.
Police say that for unknown reasons, an eastbound 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer entered the westbound side of the highway and collided head-on with a westbound 2020 Kia Soul. A Nissan Rogue then hit the Chevy.
The drivers of the Chevy and the Kia sustained fatal injuries. Authorities identified the victims as 69-year-old Debbie Lee of Grove and 34-year-old Kayla Getz of Missouri.
Medics transported a female passenger from the Chevy to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
The driver of the Nissan did not sustain injuries in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
