1 airlifted in major collision along Hwy 51 near S 241st E Ave

BROKEN ARROW, OK – An air ambulance reported to the scene of a major injury crash in Broken Arrow on Saturday evening, reports News 9.

The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 51 near South 241st East Avenue, which is just east of Northeastern State University – Broken Arrow.

Two people were critically injured in the collision, and one of them required transport via air ambulance to the hospital.

There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the wreck or the number of vehicles involved.

Officials warned of extensive delays along Highway 51 in the area of the accident while crews attended to the victims and worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
