1 fatally injured in solo crash on US-77 near Marietta

LOVE CO., OK – A 35-year-old man died Sunday from injuries sustained a day earlier in a single-vehicle crash near Marietta, reports kxii 12.

The accident happened around 6:45 p.m. on US-77 just north of the city. This is about two hours south of Oklahoma City and not far from the Texas state line.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a pickup truck carrying three people crashed along the highway.

Medics transported an unrestrained passenger, identified as Dustin Kitchens of Ardmore, to an area hospital. Kitchens died the following day.

No other injuries have been reported in connection to the wreck.

A full investigation is underway.
