1 killed, 1 airlifted in rollover along OK-7 near Wapanucka

JOHNSTON CO., OK – A 72-year-old Whitesboro man sustained fatal injuries Friday in a single-vehicle collision along the highway in northeast Johnston County, reports KXII 12.
The accident happened in the evening along the westbound side of OK-7 near Wapanucka, which is about two hours southeast of Oklahoma City.
Police say that a driver lost control of her vehicle after falling asleep, causing the car to leave the roadway and roll.
A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Bobby Coley, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Medics airlifted the driver to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
A full investigation is underway.
