1 killed, 2 injured in multi-vehicle wrong-way crash on I-35 in Edmond

EDMOND, OK – A 32-year-old man died on Thursday in a three-vehicle collision involving a wrecker along the interstate in northeast Edmond, reports KOCO News 5.
The incident happened just before 7:45 a.m. on the northbound side of I-35 near Coffee Creek Road, which is between North Sooner Road and North Air Depot Boulevard.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a southbound wrecker veered into the northbound lanes of the interstate and collided head-on with at least two other vehicles, including a pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as Stanley Linzy, died after transport to a local hospital.
The driver of the wrecker sustained critical injuries, and a third driver went to the hospital very briefly with minor injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
