OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A 50-year-old Minco woman died Friday in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in the southwest suburbs of Oklahoma City, reports KOCO News 5.
The accident happened around 8:15 p.m. on the northbound side of OK-4 at Southwest 89th Street in the city of Mustang. This is just west of Will Rogers World Airport.
Police say that the driver of a Dodge 2500 pickup truck was likely speeding when he rear-ended a Cadillac SUV that was stopped at the intersection.
A passenger in the SUV, identified as Teresa Matthews, died at the scene.
Medics transported three other people from the SUV to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck did not stop to render aid or speak with authorities. Police located and arrested the suspect not long after the collision. He is being held on multiple charges, including hit-and-run, negligent homicide with a vehicle, and reckless driving.
A full investigation is underway.
