2 dead after car crashes into Washita River in Caddo County

CADDO COUNTY, OK — Two people died Sunday morning after a vehicle crashed off a roadway and landed in the Washita River in Caddo County, reports KOCO.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the single-vehicle accident killed both the driver and a passenger.
An initial investigation indicates a vehicle traveled off the roadway and collided with a guardrail. It then left the embankment, struck the riverbed, and came to rest in the river.
As of this writing, officials have not disclosed the exact time and location of the fatal wreck.
The circumstances behind the crash remain unknown at this time.
