TULSA, OK – A major accident with entrapment along the highway in east-central Tulsa injured two people late Sunday morning, reports News on 6.
The crash occurred around 11 a.m. along the southbound off-ramp at US-169 and East 41st Street. This is just south of MTsc United North Complex.
Police say the driver of an Impala was speeding when they left the roadway and crashed into a tree. Authorities suspect that another vehicle may have also been involved in what they are calling a “road rage” incident. The other driver left the scene of the accident.
One person from the Impala became entrapped and required extrication.
Medics transported the driver and a passenger from the Impala to an area hospital. The driver sustained serious injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
