2 in critical condition after rollover collision near Marietta

NEAR MARIETTA, OK – Two people were left in critical condition after a rollover collision near Marietta on Thursday, KTEN reports.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the incident unfolded after 6 a.m. when a driver of a white van, traveling north on Interstate 35, drifted out of their lane. The van overturned, went into an outside lane, and collided with a second vehicle.
The impact of the initial crash caused the second vehicle to overturn and come to rest on the highway.
A medical van, hauling radioactive material, crashed into debris from the rollover collision.
The drivers of the overturned vehicles suffered critical injuries and were airlifted to hospitals.
OHP confirmed the van driver was uninjured.
Officials did not confirm any lane closures, but said traffic congestion lingered in the northbound direction as crews contained the radioactively active material from the van, cleaned up debris from the crash, and removed the overturned vehicles.
No contamination resulted from the collision, and no citations or charges were reported.
