2 killed, 3 injured in wrong-way collision near US-77 and E CR 1550

GARVIN CO., OK – Two people died, and three people sustained injuries in a wrong-way collision along the highway just north of Pauls Valley on Friday, reports OKC Fox 25.
The accident occurred in the area of US-77 and East County Road 1550, which is just west of Pauls Valley Lake and east of I-35.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a southbound vehicle entered the northbound side of US-77 and crashed head-on into a northbound vehicle.
The northbound driver died at the scene of the accident along with a teen girl from his vehicle. Authorities identified the driver as 39-year-old Christopher Pierri.
Two additional teens from the northbound vehicle went to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Medics transported the 29-year old wrong-way driver, identified as William Miranda, to an area hospital with critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
