2-vehicle collision on H.E. Bailey Tpk in Chickasha kills man

CHICKASHA, OK – A driver died late Christmas morning after an SUV rear-ended his disabled sedan along the turnpike in Chickasha, reports KOCO News 5.
The incident happened around 11 a.m. at mile marker 83 on I-44, or the H.E. Bailey Turnpike, which is just south of the junction with US-62.
Police say that the driver of a 2013 Dodge Avenger was parked on the side of the road with car trouble when a 2012 Infiniti QX56 rear-ended him.
The driver of the sedan died at the scene of the collision. Authorities identified him as 23-year-old Mason E. Jones.
Medics transported the elderly driver of the SUV to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
