2-vehicle crash at OK-102 and US-66 kills 1, hurts 1

WELLSTON, OK – A 46-year-old woman died Sunday evening in a two-vehicle accident along the highway in west-central Lincoln County, reports KOCO News 5. 

The crash occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of OK-102 and US-66, which is on the southwest side of Wellston. This is about 37 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.

Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause of the collision or the manner in which the two vehicles impacted. They say that one person, identified as Amber Leafty, died at the scene.

Medics transported the other driver to an area hospital with unknown injuries. He is expected to recover.

A full investigation is underway.
