2-vehicle crash involving semi at I-44 near NW 36th kills 1

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A Newalla woman sustained fatal injuries Monday in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi along the interstate in northwest Oklahoma City.
According to KOCO News 5, the accident happened shortly before 1 a.m. on the northbound side of I-44 near Northwest 36th Street. This is on the northeast side of Will Rogers Gardens.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a Toyota Corolla and an 18-wheeler crashed on the interstate. Both the cause of the wreck and the manner in which the two vehicles impacted remain under investigation.
The driver of the Toyota, since identified as 27-year-old Cortney Croney, died at the scene.
The truck driver did not sustain injuries in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
