2-vehicle crash on SE 45th St and Lee Blvd kills 1, hurts 2

LAWTON, OK – One person died, and two other people were seriously injured when a vehicle collided with a cement truck at a busy Lawton intersection Tuesday.

According to KSWO 7, the incident happened in the morning at Southeast 45th Street and Southeast Lee Boulevard, which is just northwest of J. Henderson Park.

The investigation thus far indicates that a car carrying three occupants rear-ended a cement truck at a red light.

One person from the car went to the hospital via air ambulance, and two others were transported via ground ambulance. All three people sustained serious injuries, and one of the patients died after transport.

The truck driver did not sustain injuries in the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
