OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Three people were hospitalized early Sunday after a crash outside the Oklahoma Governor’s Mansion in Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene off North 23rd Street in the early hours of the new year, shortly after 3:00 a.m.

An early investigation shows a vehicle was heading eastbound at high speed when its driver lost control. Moments later, the vehicle slammed through the perimeter fence in front of the mansion.

The OHP said four occupants were in the car at the time of the crash, but one person fled the scene on foot. Three others were transported to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.
