Motorcyclist dies after collision near I-240 in SE Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person died Wednesday evening after their motorcycle collided with another vehicle on Air Depot Boulevard in southeast Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.
The fatal crash happened at the intersection with Southeast 74th Street, just north of the interstate. Oklahoma City Police responded to the scene at about 6:20 p.m.
Officials have not shared details on the circumstances behind the wreck, but the rider suffered serious injuries. The patient was rushed to a local hospital where they were later pronounced deceased.
An investigation into the cause of the accident remains ongoing, but police said the motorcyclist’s high rate of speed was a factor. No arrests or charges have been made at this time.
