OKLAHOMA COUNTY, OK — Two people, including a teenager, were hurt Sunday evening in a multi-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 62 near Harrah, reports KOCO.
The accident occurred at the intersection with North Pottawatomie Road (North County Line Road/S 3290 Road) at about 7:00 p.m.
According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, a van was towing a trailer when it lost control and collided with a second vehicle. A driver in a third vehicle coming from the opposite direction then swerved to avoid hitting the van. The maneuver caused the third vehicle to roll multiple times, seriously injuring a 17-year-old passenger, who was transported to a local hospital. One other person suffered injuries considered non-life-threatening.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Officials with the OCSO said both speed and the windy conditions are being considered as possible factors.
