OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A vehicle collided with a power pole early Wednesday morning on Northwest 23rd Street in northwest Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.
The accident occurred near the intersection with Meridian Avenue, in the city’s Musgrave-Pennington neighborhood, at about 2:00 a.m.
Preliminary details indicate the driver of the vehicle lost control before the car struck a power pole. The impact of the crash caused the pole to snap into two pieces, one of which came crashing down on the roof of the vehicle.
The driver was not reported injured, but the vehicle’s back window was shattered.
Following the crash, crews were called to the site to replace the damaged power pole.
It remains unclear at this time whether weather conditions were a factor in the wreck.
