Semi overturns, closes multiple lanes on I-40 near downtown Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A rollover crash involving a semi-trailer caused long delays Wednesday on Interstate 40 near downtown Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.
The accident impacted the eastbound lanes between Interstate 235 and Eastern Avenue (First Americans Boulevard/N Martin Luther King Avenue).
Details remain limited, but the Oklahoma Department of Transportation said eastbound traffic was forced to get by through just a single open lane. Motorists were warned of delays in the area. Alternate routes, such as I-235 to I-44, or I-35 to I-240, were recommended.
As of this writing, authorities have not disclosed the cause of the wreck or any information regarding potential injuries.
