Driver sought after high speed chase ends in SE Oklahoma City crash

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A suspect remains at large after fleeing a traffic stop and crashing his car Friday morning in southeast Oklahoma City, according to FOX 25.
Nearby doorbell cameras captured the wreck off the intersection of Southeast 44th Street and Southeastern Avenue, east of Interstate 35.
Oklahoma City Police said that at about 3:00 a.m., officers attempted to pull over a driver in a stolen vehicle, but they driver sped off, prompting a pursuit.
At one point during the chase, which involved speeds of up to 100 miles per hour, the suspect crashed his vehicle. He was able to get out of the car and flee on foot behind homes in the surrounding neighborhood.
As of this writing, authorities have not located the suspect. He faces charges of theft and eluding if apprehended.
