56-year-old male cyclist’s life claimed in hit-and-run collision near Guymon

NEAR GUYMON, OK – A 56-year-old male cyclist died as a result of a hit-and-run collision near Guymon on Thursday.
According to OKCFOX, the crash happened before 9 a.m. off U.S. 54 near mile marker 24, near Hutch’s Truck Stop. The driver of an unspecified vehicle struck the cyclist and continued driving.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and declared the cyclist dead at the scene, identifying him as Richard Romero.
OHP later found the vehicle of interest and the driver, who claimed he did not know he struck a person.
