At least 1 killed in multi-vehicle crash on I-40 near west Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — Authorities responded to a fatal wreck Thursday morning involving a semi-trailer on Interstate 40 in west Oklahoma City, according to KOCO.
The accident took place on the westbound interstate near Exit 140 to South Morgan Road.
Details remain limited, but a semi-trailer and two other vehicles were involved. The semi-trailer was said to have traveled into a nearby ditch, and a pickup truck was left severely damaged.
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the number of people killed, but one driver of a passenger vehicle was reported to be OK.
Two horses that were traveling in the semi-trailer were recovered and were able to be taken up a hill.
All westbound traffic was forced to get by through a single open lane as crew members worked the scene.
