LE FLORE CO., OK – A nineteen-year-old woman and a nine-month-old infant were injured Friday when their vehicle crashed along a roadway near Wister, reports Poteau Daily News.
The incident happened around 11:15 p.m. on Pocohontas Road, or County Road 138, about a mile away from Wister.
The investigation indicates that the woman’s westbound 2003 Chevy Impala veered off of Pocohontas Road and crashed into a tree.
Medics airlifted the infant in stable condition to a hospital in Tulsa. The baby sustained internal injuries.
The driver of the vehicle also sustained internal injuries, for which she was hospitalized.
