COLCORD, OK – Medics airlifted one person to the hospital Saturday after their vehicle crashed on a roadway in southern Delaware County, reports KTUL 8 Tulsa.

The incident happened around 3 p.m. on South 660 Road in Colcord, which is just west of Orchard View Church and east of US-59.

The investigation indicates that a novice driver lost control of their car while attempting to turn and overturned into a ditch on the side of the road. Police suspect that speed may have been in a factor in the accident.

Air Evac. transported the patient to a hospital in Tulsa. The extent of their injuries is unclear at this time.

A full investigation is underway.
