Jackknifed 18-wheeler spills fuel near I-44 EB and Classen

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Hazmat teams cleared the scene of a jackknifed 18-wheeler along the interstate in north Oklahoma City on Tuesday, reports OK Highway Patrol/DPS.

The incident happened around 8:38 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-44 near North Classen Boulevard, which is just east of Penn Square Mall.
It’s still unclear how the accident happened, but police say that wet roads may have been a contributing factor. The force of the collision caused fuel and oil to spill, which resulted in delays along the interstate.
No injuries have been reported thus far.
