4-vehicle chain-reaction crash on OK-3 in Stonewall kills 1

STONEWALL, OK – A woman died Thursday from injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle collision along the highway in Stonewall, reports KXII 12.
The incident happened just before 5 p.m. on OK-3 near Old State Highway 3, which is just east of Tupelo and west of Centrahoma.
The investigation thus far indicates that a vehicle rear-ended another car, which then caused a chain-reaction crash involving a total of four cars. Three of the cars were stopped on the highway for roadwork at the time of the accident.
A passenger in the first car that was struck died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities identified her as 48-year-old Dana Miller.
Another passenger from the same vehicle went to the hospital via air ambulance. He is expected to survive.
The driver of the vehicle that caused the chain reaction also sustained injuries in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
