Solo crash at Lake Hellums Rd and 16th in Enid kills 1

ENID, OK – A 65-year-old man died on Tuesday in Enid after losing control of his vehicle and crashing along the roadway.
According to Enid News & Eagle, the incident happened at the intersection of Lake Hellums Road and 16th, which is east of US-64 and northwest of Chisholm Trail Burial Park.
Police say the victim sustained a fatal head injury after his eastbound 1995 Ford F-150 pickup left the roadway and hit both a culvert and an embankment.
Authorities identified the victim as Orland Mitchell Wasson of Enid. They say that speed and not impairment was the primary cause of the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
