Semi-truck collides with sedan at US-69 and OK-131, killing woman

ATOKA CO., OK – A 37-year-old woman died Wednesday after her vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler along the highway just south of Kiowa, reports KTEN,
The accident occurred at 4:37 a.m. in the area of US-69 and OK-131, which is just northwest of Reynolds Lake and northeast of Limestone Gap.
The investigation indicates that the victim neglected to stop for a stop sign, at which point a semi-truck driven by 45-year-old Kyle Cauley crashed into her vehicle, and she died at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Ashley Collins.
Medics transported the truck driver to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
