Woman injured in fiery solo crash on CR 550 near Locust Grove

MAYES CO., OK – A 52-year-old woman went to the hospital Wednesday after a single-vehicle crash along a rural roadway in south-central Mayes County, reports Tahlequah Daily Press.
The incident happened around 6:43 a.m. on County Road East 550, just west of Locust Grove.
Police say the victim, identified as Kelly Foreman, was speeding when she lost control of her westbound Dodge Challenger and hit a culvert. The vehicle became airborne before hitting a tree and igniting.
Medics took Foreman to the hospital with head injuries.
Police say she was not intoxicated at the time of the accident.
