Police investigate ambulance crash at SE 89th and S Peebly

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Authorities are investigating a crash involving an ambulance in the Ridgeview Estates area of Oklahoma City on Tuesday, reports KFOR News 4.
The accident occurred sometime before 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Southeast 89th Street and South Peebly Road, which is just northeast of the OKC Fire Department Station 36.
The cause of the crash remains unclear. Police say an ambulance hit a power pole, crashed through a guardrail, and stopped in a grassy area along the roadway.
It’s not yet known if the ambulance was carrying patients at the time of the collision, nor is there any word regarding injuries.
Video footage taken at the scene suggests that the ambulance sustained heavy front-end damage.
The investigation is ongoing.
