24-year-old woman killed in crash on I-244 SB past W 23rd St

TULSA, OK – A female driver died early Sunday morning after a major accident along the interstate in southwest Tulsa, reports News on 6.

The collision happened around 5:23 a.m. on the southbound side of I-244 just south of West 23rd Street, which is just west of Eugene Field Elementary School.

Police say that 24-year-old Cherish Willis died when her vehicle crashed. Two small children in her car, a two-year-old and a three -year-old, were not hurt in the accident.

Motorists likely experienced delays along the interstate in this area while crews responded to the scene.
