Tanker crash on OK-92 near Chickasha Ave in Amber kills 1

AMBER, OK – One person died Friday in a solo crash involving a tanker truck along the highway in north-central Grady County, reports KOCO News 5.

The accident occurred sometime before 4 p.m. along Highway 92 near Chickasha Avenue. This is on the south side of Amber.

Police say a tanker truck hauling salt water overturned along the highway. They haven’t yet determined the cause of the wreck, though wet roadways may have been a factor.

One person sustained fatal injuries in the crash. Authorities have not yet disclosed the name of the victim.

Officials closed the highway at Chickasha Avenue while emergency teams responded to the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
