Solo crash on I-240 WB near S Western Ave kills man, woman

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Two people died early Sunday in a single-vehicle crash along the interstate in south-central Oklahoma City, reports News 9.
Shortly after 4 a.m. emergency teams reported to the westbound side of I-240 between South Western Avenue and South Pennsylvania Avenue. This is just east of Will Rogers World Airport.
Police say that the vehicle struck a tree along the interstate after leaving the roadway.
Both of the occupants of the vehicle were unrestrained when the wreck happened. The impact of the crash threw one of them from the vehicle and entrapped the other.
Authorities declared both the driver and passenger deceased at the scene. They’ve been identified as 41-year-old Quaylana D. Harris and 37-year-old Casey J. Townsend.
