Solo crash on OK-22 at Nida Point kills adult, injures child

JOHNSTON CO., OK – A 34-year-old woman died, and a child sustained injuries Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash in southeastern Johnston County.
According to kxii 12, the accident happened around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of OK-22 and Nida Point Lane. This is southeast of the Thishomingo National Wildlife Refuge.
Police say that for unknown reasons, a vehicle carrying an adult and three children left the highway and struck a tree.
The driver, identified as Lori Swaim, died at the scene from a crash-related head injury.
Medics airlifted a child passenger to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.
The other child passenger was unhurt.
A full investigation is underway.
