Pedestrian struck, critically injured at S Virginia Ave and W OKC Blvd

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Police have announced critical injuries in connection to a pedestrian accident that happened Friday in central Oklahoma City, reports KFOR News 4.

The incident occurred at night near the intersection of South Virginia Avenue and West Oklahoma City Boulevard. This is north of the river and just west of downtown.

It’s unclear if the female pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when the crash happened. Officials say she sustained critical injuries and required hospitalization.

The driver stopped to render aid and to speak with police.

Motorists likely encountered delays in the area of the collision while medics assisted the victim and crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
