Low visibility causes major crash on Red River Bridge near Devol

COTTON CO., OK – Officials closed the interstate in southwest Cotton County Friday following a multi-car crash caused by low visibility.
According to Texoma’s homepage, the incident occurred sometime after 3:30 p.m. on the Oklahoma side of the I-44 bridge over the Red River. This is near Devol and Randlett.
Police say that ten vehicles were involved. There’s no word regarding the manner in which the vehicles impacted. Officials attribute the low visibility to a dust storm.
Authorities haven’t shared any details concerning injuries.
