Multi-car crash on Lake Hefner Pkwy near NW 50th delays traffic

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Motorists faced lane closures along Lake Hefner Parkway in northwest Oklahoma City Wednesday morning following a multi-vehicle collision.

According to KOCO News 5, the accident occurred sometime before 8:30 a.m. on the southbound side of OK-3 near Northwest 50th Street, which is just south of INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center.

Police aren’t yet sure what caused the crash, which they say involved at least three vehicles. One vehicle was removed from the scene by a wrecker.

No injuries have been reported in connection the collision thus far.

Officials closed the southbound side of Lake Hefner in the area of the crash while emergency teams worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
