Injury collision reported on Memorial Rd near Portland Ave

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – At least one person sustained injuries Thursday in a two-vehicle crash along a busy roadway in northwest Oklahoma City, reports KOCO News 5.

The accident occurred sometime before 9 a.m. on Memorial Road near Portland Avenue, which is east of Mercy Hospital and northwest of Quail Creek Golf and Country Club.

Police haven’t yet determined the cause of the collision, which they say pushed both vehicles onto the sidewalk near Memorial Road.

Video footage taken at the scene depicts a silver sedan with airbags deployed and damage to the front passenger side and a black sedan with heavy front-end damage.

There’s no word yet regarding the number of people injured in the crash.

Drivers likely faced delays along Memorial Road in the area of the accident while emergency teams worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
