Multi-vehicle crash in Boathouse District sends 1 to hospital

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Injuries have been reported in connection to a multi-car collision that happened Thursday along the interstate near downtown Oklahoma City.
According to News 9, the accident occurred shortly after 10:30 p.m. on the eastbound side of I-40 near I-35. This is just north of the Oklahoma River in the Boathouse District.
At this time, the circumstances of the crash remain unclear. Police say that three vehicles were involved and that one of the vehicles rolled after falling off of I-40.
Medics transported the driver of the overturned vehicle to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
It’s unclear if anyone in the other two vehicles was hurt in the accident.
Drivers likely faced delays Thursday night near the intersection of I-40 eastbound and I-35 while emergency crews attended to the victim and worked to clear the scene.
