SKIATOOK, OK – A 39-year-old man died Monday afternoon in a crash along State Highway 11 in northwest Tulsa County, reports Fox 23 News.

The accident happened shortly after 3 p.m. just north of 156th Street North on the northern outskirts of Skiatook.

Police say that the driver of a southbound 1996 Chevrolet pickup lost control due to wet road conditions. The vehicle struck a culvert, a sign, and a fence after leaving the roadway.

Authorities declared the driver of the Chevy deceased at the scene of the crash. They identified him as Alex C. Hillyard.

Officials referenced another vehicle driving in close proximity to the victim. It’s unclear if that vehicle was involved in the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
