Auto vs. pedestrian crash kills 1, injures 2 in E Tulsa

TULSA, OK – Police arrested a driver who fled the scene after losing control of her vehicle and hitting two pedestrians and a pickup truck, reports 2 News Oklahoma.
The incident happened around 11 a.m. at the intersection of North Yale Avenue and East Admiral Place, which is just southeast of Rose Hill Cemetery.
Police say a driver, identified as 40-year-old Latosha Smith, ran a red light and struck two pedestrians on a median in the intersection before crashing into a pickup truck.
A female pedestrian died from injuries sustained in the crash.
A male pedestrian and the driver of the pickup truck went to the hospital with injuries.
Smith left the scene of the collision, but police officers chased her and detained her on several charges, including manslaughter, driving under the influence, and evading police.
A full investigation is underway.
