Bus strikes, kills pedestrian at N Denver and W Archer in Tulsa

TULSA, OK – Police are investigating after a city bus struck and killed a pedestrian Monday at a busy intersection in downtown Tulsa, reports Fox 23 News.

The accident happened in the evening at North Denver Avenue and West Archer Street, which is just southeast of the David L. Moss Criminal Justice Center.

Authorities say that the driver of the MetroLink bus left the scene after hitting a man that was lying down in the roadway.

Police haven’t yet disclosed the name of the deceased.

The bus driver involved in the accident later told authorities that he did not see the man and did not realize he had struck a person.

It’s unclear if the driver will face charges in connection to the crash. A full investigation is underway.
