Car hits, kills pedestrian in wheelchair at SW 29th and Kentucky

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – Emergency teams responded to a fatal pedestrian crash just before morning rush hour Friday in Oklahoma City, reports News 9.
The incident occurred on Southwest 29th near Southwest Kentucky Avenue, which is just west of Capitol Hill in the Airpark area.
Police say it was dark and raining heavily when a vehicle struck a man in a wheelchair in the middle of Southwest 29th Street. The victim was not using a designated crosswalk when he was hit, and he died at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.
Officials have not yet released the name of the victim.
