Car rear-ends motorized bike on US-70 near Durant, killing 1

BRYAN CO., OK – A 62-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Sunday when a vehicle struck his motorized bike along the highway in west-central Bryan County, reports KXII 12.
The collision occurred in the morning on US-70 just west of Durant. This is about 150 miles southeast of Oklahoma City and just north of the Oklahoma and Texas state border.
Police haven’t shared any details about the circumstances of the accident except to say that a vehicle rear-ended the motorized bike.
Authorities identified the deceased biker as Kerry W. Welborn.
It’s unclear if the driver of the passenger vehicle will face charges in connection to the crash.
Motorists likely experienced delays along US-70 in the area of the accident on Sunday morning while emergency crews responded to the scene.
