Car vs. semi crash on Will Rogers Tpke near Claremore hurts 1

ROGERS CO., OK – A 47-year-old man went to the hospital on Saturday after his vehicle crashed into an 18-wheeler along the turnpike east of Claremore.

According to Fox 23 News, the incident happened near mile marker 261 on the Will Rogers Turnpike, which is between OK-20 and OK-28.

The investigation indicates that the driver of a Honda CV became distracted and rear-ended an 18-wheeler that was stopped on the shoulder of the turnpike.

The unrestrained driver of the Honda went to the hospital with a broken hip. Authorities identified him as Sheldon Guthrie.

The truck driver was not hurt in the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
