CMV crash on I-40 WB near Okemah blocks traffic

OKFUSKEE CO., OK – Officials closed several lanes of the interstate near Okemah Monday after a crash involving a commercial motor vehicle, reports the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

The incident happened sometime before 2:53 p.m. on the westbound side of I-40 near Okemah, in an area east of the Muscogee Creek Nation Community Hospital.

Police have not yet shared any details regarding the accident, and it’s still unclear if anyone was hurt.

Only one lane of traffic remained open on the westbound side of the interstate while crews worked to investigate and clear the scene.
