Construction worker killed by hit-and-run driver in north Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person died Wednesday evening after being struck by a vehicle on Highland Park Boulevard in north Oklahoma City, according to KFOR.
The fatal incident occurred near the intersection with Pawnee Drive in the Chisholm Creek area. It was first reported by KFOR at 6:46 p.m.
Oklahoma City Police said the victim was doing construction work on an apartment complex when they were hit by a vehicle that fled the scene moments later.
The victim died as a result of their injuries, confirmed officials.
At this time, authorities continue to investigate. No further details have been made available.
